Riley Evans
Riley Evans was born in Miami, Florida and grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Cleveland, Georgia. While serving in the Navy, he came across a book of poetry by Edna St. Vincent Millay. He fell in love, with poetry, and he has been writing ever since. His 3 published books are: SOMETHING FROM THE EAVES, THE CARETAKER and ECHOES FROM THE UNIVERSE.
In addition to writing poetry, Mr. Evans is a songwriter. Eight of his songs have been recorded by HillTop. Riley has been elected into the International Poetry Hall of Fame and was the winner of the E.I.A. Star Search in Nashville, Tennessee. His favorite styles of music are Country and Big Band, and the singers he loves most to listen to are Patsy Cline and Vince Gill.
Riley and his wife, Veronica, have one daughter. Mr. Evans is retired from the South Florida Water Management District.
